තවමත් නොපැමිණි වැලන්ටයින්....

 

දිනෙන් දින ගෙවි කාලය  දිවයන්නේ
ටිකෙන් ටික ගොඩනැගුණු පැතුමන් ලතවන්නේ
අද නැත්නම් හෙට එනුයැයි සිතමින්නේ
ආලය මගේ පසු දොරෙන්ම පැනයන්නේ

තවත් ඉරක් නෙත් ඉදිරියේ බැසයන්නේ
සඳ දෙවියොත් මට ඔච්චම් කරන්නේ

Hipo got a Santa Hat...!!!

How wonderful it is when Christmas is around the corner. As for everyone, it is my most favourite time of the year too. As a kid I remember decorating our home Christmas tree. Although for others at home, it was just a Cyprus tree in garden. But when I looked into it, I saw a whole new meaning in that tree. Sometimes people at home thought I was nuts. Coming from a buddhist family with a buddhist background, it was a bit weired to be decorating the Cyprus tree as expressed by my parents. But we (me and my sister) always had fun decorating the tree and making our own tiny stable. 

Sometimes I wonder what Christmas is all about. It originated as a religious belief to celebrates the birth of the lord Jesus. But for many others it is a time of togetherness, celebration, happiness, giving, getting and also not to mention Santa clause. Its a time filled with love and joy. It's a time that allows you to express the depth of love for each other. Oh how I wish it was Christmas every day. World would be much better then and everyone will be happy.

My wish for everyone this time is to have a happy Christmas, and I hope Santa clause has not forgotten anyone. And be good throughout the coming year as you have been this year and may you build up the greatest memories of your life this christmas...!!

Fireflies of Hope

Slowly does the sun go down

dawns the twilight zone

awaits to see the first bloomed star

to wish upon its light

Around the bushes in the dark

sparkles tiny sights

seemed the sky has fallen down

along with all the lights

Slowly I pick them one by one

and put them in a Jar

light my night my lovely ones

Glow now glow please glow....

Looking back...

"People who once close to me, who left their print in heart... No matter how far life takes us apart, you'll always be in heart... You may forget the times we spent, But never will I let go...Though all this change amazes me now... Our memories please me more.."

Life is full of surprises. Sometimes it gives us joy, and other times it gives us sorrow. But the best thing about life is that it always has something different in store for you no matter where we are. We meet people through our journey in life. Some stay forever and most just comes and goes. Sometimes when you meet a new person you get the feeling that you have known the person before and then you know the person is there to stay forever. 

I used to think that life is all about survival. I still feel the same. But when I say its all about survival it does not imply that you should be selfish. We all live for survival. Throughout we make connections and bonds to make our survival strong. And these relationships decorates our lives. It makes life interesting and it gives us something to look forward to everyday. We build up memories and we cherish these forever. We get hurt on the way in life sometimes and we loose our way. But whats important is not how you got hurt, but how you make it through the pain.

Sometimes when you stop on the way turn and look back you will be amazed by what you see. How many people have followed you through your journey up to now and how many of them has lost their way with time. And you will stop to wonder, do the people who lost you on the way remember everything we shared together? Do they still remember you? Do they also think the same about you? what do you mean to them and why did you loose them on the way? Then you will think how many of the people who followed me till now will be their till the end? Are they here to stay or are they just visitors in life? 

One thing I have learned in life is that "Change is Inevitable". No matter how hard you try time changes everything. But what will follow us forever will be the memories that we built. It will be as sure as your shadow. If you turn around you will not miss your memory or your shadow. If you built up good memories you will be happy. and if you built up bad memories you will still be able to learn from them and be happy. 

So for everyone that I have lost up to now through my journey in life, I thank you. I thank you for the love, the thoughts, the smiles and tears you have shared with me and to the good times and also to bad times that we shared. It helped me to get to where I am now and it will help me to get where I want to go in future. No matter if your with me till the end or not, the memories will be cherished forever. In my mind and heart you will always be with me. Wish you well in life.
